Five Candidates Who Could Replace Juwan Howard At Michigan

Greg McDermott – Creighton

McDermott could be one to watch as he has been to Creighton for quite some time but hasn’t been able to accomplish much in March. Creighton has been ranked in the top 10 of the AP Poll at some point in five of the last seven seasons. He fits the mold too not landing five-star recruits but developing a roster that really worked for John Beilein.

Nate Oats – Alabama

Getting his coaching start just down the road at Romulus High School, Oats has accomplished quite a lot already at Alabama.  The Tide, which were the overall No. 1 seed last season, will once again be a top team this season (top 5 seed). Oats is thought of as a great recruiter and someone who connects with his players. He certainly has Michigan roots.

Update: Oats agreed to a contract extension and will be one of five highest in CBB.
