Tempers flared during Saturday night’s Big Ten Tournament championship game between the Indiana Hoosiers and Purdue Boilermakers. With the scored tied at five in the top of the 9th inning, Purdue’s Eric Charles went in for the dirty slide at third and caused the following brawl to result.
On the play, Purdue scored the game winning run and claimed its first ever Big Ten Tourney championship and an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament. However, an ugly way to go out on top for the Boilermakers.
