Twitter was the real winner in Tuesday’s World Cup semi-final between Germany and Brazil. According to Twitter, Germany’s 7-1 rout of Brazil was the most discussed sports event ever on the platform. With 35.6 million tweets during the match, it shattered the previous record of 24.9 million for the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl win over the Denver Broncos.
