I’ve only seen something like this happen a handful of times and certainly not any time recently in the NHL. Rather than have the benches clear, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals fought on the Penguins bench. The small tussle escalated quite quickly and surprisingly only resulted in four minor roughing penalties. It’s safe to say that these two teams hate each other.
