The NHL and GoPro wasted no time with their new deal, implementing the “Ref Cam” on broadcasts on opening night. It’s pretty incredible to see the game from a ref’s point of view and should give fans a new perspective on what they see and their ultimately limited sight lines. It certainly adds something new and exciting to the games instead of just the run of the mill broadcast and replays.
