Marty St. Louis Snipes Dustin Tokarski for Sweet OT Winner

St. Louis ot game winner
Is there a hockey fan in the world who doesn’t root for Martin St. Louis? Earlier this month, the 38-year-old’s mother passed away just before Mother’s Day. Instead of leaving New York and missing a couple of games to mourn, Marty stayed with the Rangers and helped his team eliminate the Penguins. Tonight, he sniped Dustin Tokarski in overtime to give the Blueshirts a 3-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals of the NHL Playoffs.

When Alexei Emelin got sucked into the play and left St. Louis wide open in the Canadiens’ offensive zone, Carl Hagelin picked up the puck and found him. Marty took a couple of strides towards the net and then let it rip, beating Tokarski short-side, top-shelf beautifully.

Rangers are going to have one hard time resigning Hagelin in another year. Hagelin leads Rangers I even strength goal and playoffs and has only shorthanded goal. Hagelin has 2 pts in game & receives no recognition at all.
If Rangers had traded for Andrew Cogliano, 2nd fastest skater in NHL, a couple of years ago like I posted numerous times Hagelin would be a 30 goal scorer.
St Louis & Kreider are only wingers that can almost keep up with him and Brssrd the only center.

Nice to see the French-Fried maggots hanging by a noose. Somebody pull the lever and get the Montreal stink out of the playoffs.
