Anton Volchenkov gets ejected for elbowing Brad Marchand, suspension coming?

The New Jersey Devils have had a rough go of it lately.  They had lost seven straight coming into their game against the Boston Bruins and the injuries have been piling up.  After this hit Devils defenseman Anton Volchenkov delivered on Bruins forward Brad Marchand, it appears that a suspension will be coming to one of their best defenseman.  Volchenkov was given a 5-minute major for elbowing as well as a Game Misconduct with less than five minutes left in the 2nd period.  The Bruins went on to win the game 5-4, though the Devils had a valiant comeback.

Volchenkov is in a tough spot here because of Marchand’s size difference.  It’s easy for him to hit Marchand in the head because he is so small, but my guess is Volchenkov will be suspended because he leads with his elbow and chooses not to play the puck on the play.  Volchenkov is also a repeat offender, being suspended for a headshot on Zach Boychuk, which will not help his cause.
