Cassel, who has played for the Patriots, Chiefs and the Vikings before the Bills, was a 2011 Pro-Bowl selectee. The 33-year-old should compete with Brandon Weeden for the QB spot with Tony Romo out an expected eight weeks with a fractured left clavicle.
