Broncos Kevin Vickerson took a cheap shot on Colts O-Lineman Samson Satele

Although the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts delivered a dandy of a Sunday Night Football game, it wasn’t all pretty. After scoring a touchdown to take a 32-14 lead, the Indianapolis Colts lined up to kick the extra point to make the score 33-14.

During the extra point, Broncos defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson took a brutal cheap shot on Colts guard Samson Satele.  Satele had injured his leg earlier in the game and Vickerson is clearly seen punching Satele’s leg in the GIF above.

Somehow no penalty was called on the play.  I’d bet Roger Goodell gives Vickerson a ring first thing Monday.

Thanks for writing about the Vickerson cheap shot on the Colt’s center. It was so flagrant. I truely hope the league fines him for it. It was very unsportsmanlike.

Denver Broncos & John Elway have always been a class act. I can’t believe they would allow something this flagrant on their team.

I’m pretty sure they don’t “allow” this on their team. Players are accountable for their own actions. John Fox, Jack Del Rio, etc. are class act coaches. Vickerson acted purely out of anger and frustration. Vickerson took a cheap shot from Satele earlier in the game, so Vickerson thought he would take justice into his own hands. Rather than focus on winning the game, Vickerson got frustrated and took a lot of bad penalties that hurt his team in that game. Never seen Vickerson act this way before so clearly the Colts were under his skin.
