Lakers Guard Darius Morris Hits 50-Foot Buzzer Beater

The Lakers and Clippers meet-up at the Staples Center on Saturday night, proved  to be one of the best basketball games of the season.  While Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul matched each other on the offensive end of the court with impressive performances, it was Lakers’ rookie point guard, Darius Morris, who provided the highlight of the night.

Morris took the inbounds pass from Josh McRoberts, with 1.7 seconds left in the first quarter, eluding Chris Paul, and was nothing but net with this half-court prayer.

Although the Clippers come out victorious against their crosstown rivals, 102-94, the 21 year-old Morris played his first big minutes of the season, guarding Chris Paul who went for 33 points, and feeding Kobe to his fourth consecutive 40 point night.

Over a seven-game series, I still think that the Lakers are the better team but CP3 is going to pose some serious matchup problems that Derek Fisher’s wheelchair is not going to be able to keep up with.

Like the half-court shot, but the Devin Harris buzzer beater when he was with the Nets is  better just because it was to win the game.

To Chris’ point, I don’t know.. The Lakers should be better than the Clips, but they sure are not showing it. Clippers have shown that they will let Kobe do whatever he wants. Including the preseason, the Lakers and the Clippers have played three times and to my understanding, the Clippers have won all three games. Lakers better focus!
