Pirates player hits home run out of ballpark, nearly hits a bicyclist

Pirates first baseman Garret Jones became only the second player ever to hit a home run ball out of PNC Park and into the Allegheny River. The eighth inning 2-run shot, which traveled a reported 468 feet, nearly took out a bicyclist on its way to the water. The only other blast to reach Allegheny River was by Daryle Ward of the Astros in 2002.  Pittsburgh would eventually win 5-4 in extras thanks to this bomb by Jones.
