In his Major League Debut, Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig pulled off the heroic 9-3 double play to save Los Angeles’ 2-1 victory over the San Diego Padres. Puig caught a Kyle Blanks fly ball at the warning track, then threw a dart to get Chris Denorfia, who had been standing at first. Pegged as the next big star for the Dodgers, the 22-year-old signed a seven year, $42 million dollar deal last summer. Puig also had two hits on the night. Seems like the investment is paying off so far.
