Reds Francisco hits ball 502 ft. bomb out of stadium

Cincinati Reds third baseman, Juan Francisco, did the incredible last night in a 12-8 loss to the Cubs.

Francisco hit the longest home run of the season, a 502 foot blast off Rodrigo Lopez, that went over the right field bleachers. An impressive feat hit for the 24-year-old and future super-star.

According to Jim Day of the Reds’ Fox Sports Ohio telecast, Francisco’s ball cleared the stadium wall, hit a tree along Mehring Way and rattled around on the road. A stadium worker retrieved the ball and Francisco will get it back, Day reported.

The only home run that has traveled further in the Great American Ball Park was Adam Dunn’s, which went 535 feet and into the Ohio River.
