Tiger Woods First To Reach $100 Million In Earnings On PGA Tour

Tiger Woods came in third today at the Deutsche Bank Championship, earning $544,000, to finally reach $100 Million in earnings.  Needless to say he has made the most money of anyone on the PGA Tour ever, and the only person close to him is Phil Mickelson, a casual $30+ Million behind.  Tiger officially has earned, $100, 350,700 on the Tour; makes you wonder what he would have made had his career not gotten derailed with injuries and marital issues.

Tiger Woods is second all-time in career victories with 74 wins; Sam Snead is the leader with 82.  To compare earnings, Snead started his career in 1937 and only made $620,126, a figure that Tiger almost made for four rounds of golf this weekend.

The PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs continue this coming weekend with the BMW Championship.  The FedEx Cup Champion earns a purse of $10 Million, something Tiger has won twice.  This money, and his endorsements aren’t included in his career earnings.  September is a busy month for Tiger, with the FedEx Cup finishing up, and the Ryder Cup starting September 28th in Medina, Illinois.
