Teams Down South One To Watch With Michigan Transfer S Keon Sabb

Michigan safety Keon Sabb announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal on Friday. Sabb, a redshirt freshman who started 5 games for the Championship Wolverines this past season, could be heading down south. While there are rumored to be several teams interested in the New Jersey native (Oregon, Alabama, Ole Miss), it seems like Bama is certainly one to watch as referenced by 247sports’ Alabama insider Tim Watts and Pete Nakos (who broke the news of Sabb entering portal):

With Rod Moore and Makari Paige both announcing their returns for a senior season, it might have been hard for Sabb to see much playing time in Michigan’s backfield.

At the same time, Steve Clinkscale and Jesse Minter are both in the NFL, and Michigan just hired its new DB coach LaMar Morgan.

NIL also certainly plays a factor into Sabb entering the portal and potentially the destination he picks.

Alabama coach Kalen Daboer certainly got to see Sabb up close during the National Championship Game (when he was the Washington coach).
