Chiles was one of the biggest additions for the Spartans after he followed Smith to East Lansing from Oregon State. It never quite panned out for Chiles, who finished his MSU career 8-12.
Alessio Milivojevic, who took over for Chiles at the end of the season, is expected to return and be the main QB next year for new coach Pat Fitzgerald.
