Ohio State QB pledge Tate Martell is doing whatever it takes to get to Columbus as quickly as possible. According to USAToday, Martell transferred to a nearby high school with only a few weeks to go in his high school’s semester in order for him to enroll early at Ohio State:

To do that, he has to graduate early, which is not permitted at Bishop Gorman, school principal Kevin Kiefer confirmed.

With only a few weeks to go in the semester and shortly after helping the Gaels win their eighth consecutive 4A state title, Martell transferred to Desert Pines (Las Vegas), which is about 22 miles away from Bishop Gorman.

“I had to transfer to Desert Pines to graduate early,” Martell told USA TODAY High School Sports. “I graduate on Friday.”
