Shea Patterson Is Officially Transferring To Michigan

After a weekend in Ann Arbor that included throwing snowballs in the Big House, watching the basketball team upset UCLA, going out to a local bar, and getting gear at the MDen, former Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson officially announced today that he will become a Wolverine:

It’s still unknown whether Patterson will be eligible to play in 2018 as the NCAA has only allowed senior Ole Miss players the opportunity to transfer with immediate eligibility due to sanctions placed on the program because of rule infractions.

Watch freshman year highlights from the former No. 3 recruit in the country in 2016:

Patterson, 6-foot-2 and 203-pounds, took over the Ole Miss QB job as a freshman and started the final three games after Chad Kelly went down with an injury.  He threw for 880-yards and rushed for 169-yards and led the Rebels to an upset over then No. 8 Texas A&M.

As a sophomore, this past season, Patterson, who was injured after seven games with a knee injury, threw for 2,259 yards, 17 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.

Michigan is also in great shape with fellow Ole Miss transfers Van Jefferson and Deontay Anderson.

Patterson’s grandfather, George Patterson, played for the Detroit Pistons and it was Shea’s dream growing up in Toledo, Ohio to play in the Big House.
