Who Should Be Michigan’s Starting QB Next Year?

One of the biggest question marks heading into the 2015-16 Michigan Football season is who will be its quarterback? It’s still very early in the process, but Michigan has four potential possibilities to replace Devin Gardner next year.  Here they are:

Shane Morris – A heralded recruit out of Warren, Michigan, Morris hasn’t lived up to the five-star hype during his first-two years.  Now a junior, the south-paw will likely get first-crack at the position as the most upperclassman of the bunch.

Wilton Speight –  A three-star prospect out Virginia, Wilton Speight, who redshirted last year, has all the physical tools to be a successful QB in Ann Arbor.

Alex Malzone  – The 2014 Michigan High School Player of the Year, Malzone enrolled early and has been seeing a lot of reps in practice (and drawing positive reviews).

Zach Gentry – Michigan was able to swoop in at the last moment for Gentry, a physical specimen at 6-foot-7 and 230 pounds, and add him to the 2015 class. Not participating in spring practice may hurt his chances of starting, however.

Jake Ruddock also could be in the mix but it’s still unclear if he’s actually transferring from Iowa to Michigan.

Leave a comment below why you think either of the four QBs should be starting next year.
