Taysom Hill To Michigan Rumor Heating Up

According to Brandon Doman, Taysom Hill’s former offensive coordinator at BYU, Michigan seems like a very possible landing spot next year if the quarterback decides to transfer for his fifth and final year of eligibility:

“I would tell Taysom to do the best thing for Taysom,” Doman told KSL.com. “If Michigan comes knocking and you’ve got a fifth opportunity to play quarterback for Jim Harbaugh, and that’s the best thing for Taysom Hill then he should go do that for sure.”

It’s still unclear if Hill, who has suffered three season-ending injuries, will look to play football next season (or even transfer). The 25-year-old, who originally committed to Stanford under Jim Harbaugh, would likely also have a shot to win back his job from Tanner Mangum if he decides to return to Provo, Utah.

Similarly, Michigan may not have a scholarship open and could feel comfortable at the position with John O’Korn, Wilton Speight, Shane Morris, Alex Malzone, Zach Gentry, and true freshman Brandon Peters all fighting for reps.

As you can see in the video below, when healthy, Hill, is one of the most athletic QB’s in college football:
