Sports Illustrated, Fox Sports Predicts Michigan To Be 6-6

Here’s what Sports Illustrated’ Zach Ellis wrote about the upcoming Wolverines’ season:

“The Wolverines swung for the fences in their coaching search and seemingly hit a home run,” Ellis starts. “Harbaugh was far and away the hire of the off-season after his up-and-down tenure with the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers came to an end. Everyone knows Harbaugh can coach, as Michigan’s new leader rebuilt programs at San Diego and Stanford before taking the 49ers to the Super Bowl.

“Now Harbaugh is back at his alma mater and has spent the off-season poking at other coaches on social media. Soon, however, he’ll have to field a competitive team, and 2015 could be a year of growing pains. The Wolverines return just 11 starters, including five on an offense that finished eighth or worse in the Big Ten in every major category last fall.”

FoxSports.com has Michigan going 6-6 and be .500 in the Big Ten:

“Unless Iowa transfer Jake Rudock comes in and makes a mammoth development step, expectations for Jim Harbaugh’s first Michigan season are modest. A tough non-conference slate of Utah, Oregon State and BYU might keep the Wolverines from cracking .500.”
