Report: Michigan RB Derrick Green Now On Scout Team

Senior running back Drake Johnson is expected to return to action tomorrow against Oregon State. It sounds like Johnson, who didn’t play against Utah because he was still recovering from injury, will be taking the place of Derrick Green, who had two-carries for one-yard last week.

According to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider, ‘Green was put on the scout team this week’.

Green was highly touted out of Richmond, Virginia. A former five-star recruit, Green ranked as the No. 26 player in the 2013 class.  Before suffering a broken clavicle that took his 2014 season after six games, the 5-foot-11, 234-pounder had 742-yards and 5-touchdowns.

De’Veon Smith, Ty Isaac and Drake Johnson will more than likely split carries moving forward for the Wolverines.
