Michigan has two commitments from the Garden State, DE Ron Johnson Jr. and WR Brad Hawkins, but is in very good position with several other top New Jersey prospects. Both four-star WR Ahmir Mitchell and five-star DT Rashan Gary recently took their second trips to Ann Arbor, and according to 247Sports, UM’s most recent pledge thinks Michigan is in good shape to land those two and TE Naseir Upshur ($).

Gary, who will be participating in The Opening event this week with the top players in the country and several Michigan commits, isn’t expected to decide on a college until National Signing Day.
