Alabama landed a huge defensive prospect on Wednesday as Farmington Hill’s Khalid Kareem committed to the Crimson Tide. Kareem, ranked as the No. 184 player in the composite rankings, is the No. 5 player in the state of Michigan.

Kareem picked Alabama over Michigan, Notre Dame, Michigan State (where he once was a commit) and many others schools. Kareem, who is expected to enroll early, is commitment No. 16 for Alabama.
