Jerry Sandusky sentenced to 30-60 years in prison

That fateful day is finally here, and Jerry Sandusky has been sentenced to at least 30 years in prison, and up to a maximum of 60 years in prison in his child sex abuse trial.

When he spoke during the sentencing, Sandusky continued to deny the allegations and talked about the pain of being in prison.  While three of the victims spoke, one stated that he would never forgive Sandusky and wished he had come forward sooner.

Sandusky is 68-years-old and was found guilty of 45 counts of child sex abuse in June.  Witnesses in the trial said that he used his foundation to prey on children and was convicted of molesting 10 children, and at least 20 have come forward and said they were abused.

Sandusky’s statement in court ended up lasting 15 minutes, and he will not be eligible for parole until the minimum sentence is up, which will be when he is 98 years old.
