Here’s What We’re Hearing About Wilton Speight’s Injury

Prev1 of 2Next

Per Jim Harbaugh Monday at his presser: “Wilton won’t compete this week or for a number of weeks. John O’Korn will be the starter.”

Jim Harbaugh said last week, that if the Wolverines had had a game, Wilton Speight would have been out. Well, Michigan does have a game this Saturday – 7:30 PM against Michigan State – and all signs are pointing to Speight being unable to suit up this weekend and for the foreseeable future.

According to multiple message board posters – Scout‘s Stryperfan and MGoBlog‘s umbig11 – Speight broke several vertebrae and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2017 season.

This news is not confirmed in any way but don’t be surprised if John O’Korn is the man at QB for the Wolverines moving forward.

Speight was injured in the first quarter of Michigan’s win over Purdue after taking a late hit.
