Harbaugh Rips ESPN Over Disciplinary Speculation Of Jourdan Lewis

Jim Harbaugh was not happy with ESPN announcer Ed Cunningham’s speculation that Jourdan Lewis missed Saturday’s game with Hawaii because of disciplinary reasons. Here’s what the Michigan coach said during Monday’s media session:

“That was my decision based on — he was getting close enough to be healthy to play in the game,” Harbaugh said. “He was working through something that had nothing to do with any off-field suspension. Heard about Ed Cunningham got way out over his skis speculating that it was some kind of suspension.

“Jourdan Lewis is one of the finest guys we have on the team. Football character and off the field character. Just total character. So there’s few, if any better than Jourdan Lewis. Just wanted to clarify that for the record.”

Jourdan Lewis, who is expected to play against UCF, tweeted the following after the game:
