Cordell Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s Son, Quits UCLA Football Team

Cordell Broadus, the son of Snoop Dogg, has quit the UCLA football team before ever having taken a snap with the Bruins, Scout.com has learned. Broadus, a former four-star WR recruit, never reported to fall camp which began on Monday for UCLA.

He is admitted to UCLA, and attended UCLA’s summer session, so he’ll be able to remain enrolled and attend UCLA.

According to sources close to the situation, it was more than likely a matter of Broadus “wanting to do his own thing,” since his father had always pushed him to play football.

Broadus originally picked the Bruins over the likes of Michigan, Arizona State and Florida State, among others.

With the P.Diddy story earlier this summer and now Broadus quitting the team, will UCLA think twice about recruiting the sons of rappers moving forward?
