Before transferring to IMG, Ruiz played at Camden High School in New Jersey with Michigan freshman Ron Johnson Jr. and 2017 UM commit Brad Hawkins.  Ruiz, who plans to enroll early, picked the Wolverines over Alabama, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Florida State and many others.

The #BluePrint17 OL haul now includes Ruiz, Kai-Leon Herbert, Andrew Stueber, JaRaymond Hall and Joel Honigford.  See who else the Wolverines are targeting on the offensive line here.

Ruiz was a much-needed pickup for the Wolverines as they will lose three OL starters to graduation (Ben Braden, Kyle Kalis and Erik Magnuson), Grant Newsome’s health still up in the air, and the uncertainty of Mason Cole returning for his senior season.
