UW Milwaukee Hires Michigan Assistant LaVall Jordan As Head Coach

LaVall Jordan, a former player and coach at Butler, will be heading back to the Horizon League as the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee has named the Michigan assistant coach as its next head coach.

Jordan, who interviewed for the Butler opening after Brad Steven left for the Celtics, has been coaching Michigan’s guards since 2010.  Jordan played a big part in the development of guards Darius Morris, Tim Hardaway Jr., Nik Stauskas, Caris LeVert and Trey Burke.

Bacari Alexander, another Michigan assistant, has been linked to the open University of Detroit Mercy position (his alma mater), as well.
