Gerard Pique, a star defender for the Spanish, tweeted the following regarding Michigan winning a National Championship in 1989 after firing Steve Fischer before the NCAA Tournament: “University of Michigan Basketball. 1989. NCAA Champion. It would not be the first time it happens. All united, now more than ever.”
