It was reported that Greg McDermott was offered the Ohio State head coaching position. However, the Creighton coach shut down the rumor on Twitter:
I'm blessed and honored to be the coach at Creighton…..and am looking forward to many more great years in Omaha! #rolljays

According to CBS’ Jon Rothstein, McDermott is now the fifth candidate to pass on the Buckeyes job:
Over five prominent HC's have now passed on Ohio State. The Buckeyes are officially on the clock. First recruiting period starts on 7/12.

As OSU AD Gene Smith is learning, looking for a replacement coach in June is not the best idea.
