Caris LeVert To Return For Senior Season At Michigan

Michigan basketball got some very good news today when guard Caris LeVert, who was considered a late-first rounder, announced his plans to return to Michigan for his senior season. LeVert averaged nearly 14 points a game last season before suffering a season ending foot injury.

With LeVert on the roster for next year, UM will be a top 25 and a contender for the Big Ten. Four-star SG Kenny Williams, who is expected to visit Michigan in near future, likely won’t be an addition to Michigan’s 2015 class now.

Here’s a quote from LeVert from the MGoBlue announcement:

“Over the past few months, I have spent a lot of time thinking about my future,” said LeVert. “My family and I, along with the coaching staff, gathered as much information as possible. After considering my options, I am excited to announce I will return for my senior year. Coming back allows me to keep working towards my Michigan degree and take the next steps in my development as a player, teammate and a leader of our program. Michigan is a very special place and the college experience only comes once. The future is bright and I am blessed to be part of it.”
