ESPN Predicts No. 1 Player In 2016 Class To Michigan

Prev1 of 2Next

Rashan Gary, the No. 1 player in the 2016 class, likely won’t be making his college decision until National Signing Day. However, many experts are making early predictions on where the defensive tackle out of Paramus, New Jersey will land. Gerry Hamilton of ESPN, in a recently published article predicting where the remaining five-star prospects will play their college ball, has Michigan as Gary’s pick. Here’s his reasoning:

Gary’s recruitment could go in a number of directions. Alabama is sitting in a good position, along with Michigan, where former Paramus Catholic head coach Chris Partridge is now part of the operations staff. For Rutgers, trying to keep the 2016 Under Armour All-America selection at home will be an uphill battle because of the competition coming from all angles. Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia and Clemson (along with the Crimson Tide) are on the list from the southeast region, while Ohio State and Penn State are factors out of the Big Ten. The program that eventually comes out on top will have won over not only Gary, but more importantly, his mother. Prediction: Michigan

Another recruiting analyst also predicted that Gary would pick the Wolverines.
