Report: Cavs Interested In Trading For Norris Cole, Birdman

LeBron James, Norris ColeLeBron James could be back with his former Miami Heat teammates, Norris Cole and Chris ‘Birdman’ Anderson, according to Bleacher Reports’ Ethan Skolnick. While Corey Brewer appears to be the Cavs top priority, Skolnick notes that Cleveland is interested in Cole as a backup point guard, and Andersen for his rim protection abilities.

Cole is due around $2 million this season, and is set to be a free-agent in 2015. Meanwhile, Birdman has a $5.4 million salary this season. Miami is 6-and-6 on the season, the sixth best record in the Eastern Conference, so who knows if they’d be willing to part with two key parts of their team.

Remember, Cavs GM David Griffin said of the Cavs roster, ‘no one is untouchable’. A deal for Cole/Birdman would likely cost Dion Waiters. Would you trade a huge piece of Cleveland’s bench for those two?
