The Florida Gators were somehow still in contention to make it the SEC Championship game until they blew their 4th quarter lead over the South Carolina Gamecocks. They were punting the ball away with less than a minute to go when South Carolina blocked the punt. They then went down the field and scored to tie the game.
After Florida kicked a field goal on their possession in OT, the Gamecocks scored a touchdown to give Steve Spurrier the win.
The best part of the blocked punt was the fact the ball deflected off the punter’s facemask too.
