The wait finally ended for the former SEC Defensive Player of the Year. Missouri Tigers DE/OLB Michael Sam was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the 7th round, 249th overall and had a very emotional reaction. It’s no small feat to become the first openly gay player drafted into the NFL.
