With Jim Harbaugh conducting an interview with the LA Chargers on Monday, it is clear that the Michigan headman is looking around to the NFL once again. Harbaugh, who is 60 and clearly looking for his next ‘ring’, is apparently concerned about any ‘clauses’ tied to his potential contract and any issues with the NCAA ‘signgate’ or ‘burgergate’ according to John U. Bacon:
The Harbaugh-Michigan negotiations are at an impasse, at least for now. It isn’t money – plenty there – but the clauses: what should be covered by immunity (e.g. cheeseburgers, etc.), and what not?
Therein lies the rub. Stay tuned.— John U. Bacon (@Johnubacon) January 16, 2024
We’ll see how things develop but you would have to assume there will be some major interest from NFL teams for Harbaugh following a National Championship at Michigan.
Michigan has reportedly offered Harbaugh to be the highest paid coach in the B1G.
