Red Wings’ Damien Brunner with a silky shootout winner

It wasn’t pretty, but the Detroit Red Wings beat the Columbus Blue Jackets in a shootout on Monday night.  In his second career NHL game, the Swiss Sensation Damien Brunner was chosen to go in the shootout and he did not disappoint.  Brunner channeled his inner Pavel Datsyuk and pulled off this Datyukian deke to give the Wings their first two points of the year.  I’ve been looking forward to seeing Damien Brunner ever since the Wings signed him in the offseason, and so far he has not disappointed.  He hasn’t buried in regulation yet, but he’s had a lot of chances and has a great ability to make plays with the puck.
