Delmon Young makes awful throw during Game 1 of World Series

The Detroit Tigers used Delmon Young during the regular season as their designated hitter. Unfortunately for Detroit, the NL doesn’t allow a DH so in order for Young to stay in the lineup, he had to play left field.

Young attempted to throw out Brandon Belt at the plate after Giants’ starting pitcher Barry Zito hit a single to him in left field. Young’s throw wen’t straight into the ground. You can understand watching this type of throw why the Tigers didn’t use the soon-to-be free agent for his defensive skills.

  1. It was a bad throw but the runner would have scored anyway, this did not affect the outcome of the game
