Phil Mickelson intentionally hits shot backwards during practice round, lands near cup

Phil Mickelson was playing a practice round to get ready for The Open Championship that starts on Thursday and found himself in a tough lie.  Rather than try to bump and run it onto the green and watch the ball fly past the hole, the lefty decided to hit the ball facing backwards.  He scooped so far under the ball on his downswing, that it generated enough backspin for the ball to fly backwards and land on the green and roll towards the cup.  This is not the first time that Phil has done something like this, and quite frankly, he is a seasoned vet when it comes to this shot.
