10 Impact Freshman In College Football For The 2014-15 Season

2. Jabrill Peppers, CB, Michigan Wolverines

Jabrill Peppers has been anointed as the next big thing at Michigan ever since he committed. While I’m inclined to say let’s wait and see what he does, he’s highly thought of for a good reason. Peppers will start out as the starting nickel cornerback and could see some time at kick returner or punt returner. His blazing speed is special and you don’t want to have that under-utilized. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him take some snaps on offense once he has the hang of things, lord knows Michigan’s offense could use all the help it can get.

1. Leornard Fournette, RB, LSU Tigers

Leonard Fournette was arguably the most important recruit for LSU after Jeremy Hill and Alfred Blue left for the NFL. Fournette is going to get major carries early on and there hasn’t been this kind of hype surrounding a true freshman running back since Adrian Peterson. At 6’1″ 225-lbs, he’s as likely to run through you as he is to run right past you. I expect Fournette to have a big year and to rush for over 1,000 yards.
