Report: Rashan Gary, Nation’s No. 1 Recruit, Nearly Committed To Michigan

Rashan Gary, the nation’s No. 1 recruit in the 2016 class, is wanted by every major college program. According to Rivals.com, one school nearly earned the commitment from the Paramus Catholic DT over the summer.

In a recent Inside The Fort article by TheWolverine.com, sources tell them that Gary was ‘extremely close to committing to Michigan during his last visit’ ($).

While Gary recruitment will probably drag on until Signing Day 2015, this certainly seems like a good sign for the Wolverine.

Michigan, who has his former high school coach – Chris Partridge -as its recruiting coordinator, will more than likely receive an official visit from Gary this fall.

Michigan is currently the Crystal Ball leader for the 6-foot-4, 311-pounder:
