Tom Mars, who helped represent Shea Patterson and Jim Harbaugh during his time in Ann Arbor, posted the following message after newly hired DL coach Greg Scruggs was arrested of OWI at 3 a.m. on Saturday.

As an ex-cop, both state and city, I’ve seen more than my fair share of dead, mangled, and even decapitated bodies caused by drunk drivers. Since this is Coach Scruggs’ second DUI offense, I trust AD Manuel and Coach Moore will cut him loose without further delay.

Scruggs has been suspended indefinitely by the Wolverines and new coach Sherrone Moore.
