According to On3’s EJ Holland, here’s the latest on Michigan’s pursuit of CJ Sadler, a top playmaker out of Cass Tech HS:

Michigan has the heavy lead for Sadler on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 93.0 percent chance of landing him. At one point, it looked like Sadler would be joining U-M’s class this winter. While that didn’t happen, Michigan is still looking to get him onboard sooner rather than later. Sadler is a close friend of freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, which is a plus. Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore is also making it a point to keep top local players home. With that said, there are some moving parts, and schools like Colorado and North Carolina are threats.
Michigan will certainly get an opportunity to showcase its new passing game under Chip Lindsey and with Bryce Underwood at QB for Sadler. Ranked as the No. 92 overall player and No. 1 in the state of Michigan, Sadler would be a major addition to the Wolverines’ 2026 class.
