Did The Browns Cut A Former OSU Player To Get Jabrill Peppers A New Number?

After Jabrill Peppers initially had No. 27, it was announced on the Browns team website that the 2017 first-round pick will be sporting No. 22 going forward.

The player that used to wear No. 22 for the Browns? Tyvis Powell, a former Ohio State safety, who was released hours before throwing out the first pitch at the Cleveland Indians home game last week.

The Brown shared that they will refund any fan who purchased a No. 27 Peppers uniform within the last 30 days:
