Ex-Michigan Strength Coach, Jon Sanderson, Set To Join AB1G Rival

After a disagreement with Juwan Howard that resulted in shouting match, Jon Sanderson was let go by Michigan after 15 years as the Wolverines’ Strength and Conditioning Coach. The former OSU forward is now joining the Illini staff as a consultant to their strength and conditioning program:

While this may be something part-time for Sanderson, his son, Jonathan Sanderson, a point-guard for Saline, Michigan, has been drawing major D1 interest. He has received offers from Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and others.

The Wolverines coined the term ‘Camp Sanderson’ where players would stay on campus over the summer and work with the Strength and Conditioning coach. Nik Stauskas, Caris Levert and many others are some of the athletes who had huge gains by doing so.
