Norwegian skier almost blows Gold Medal by celebrating early

Why does everyone have to celebrate early? This is just like dropping the football before crossing the goal line, why not cross and then celebrate? Norwegian skier Emil Hegle Svendsen almost blew the 15 KM biathlon by celebrating short of the finish line. France’s Martin Fourcad snuck up on Svendsen and almost stole the Gold from him, but Svendsen managed to hang on by a matter of inches. Just another example of why there is no reason to celebrate early.
