Steve Ott tries to lick Jeff Halpern’s half-shield

Buffalo Sabres forward Steve Ott has been in the news quite a bit lately.  A few days ago he made headlines because he was complaining about fans booing/mocking the Sabres for playing terribly.  On Thursday night, Ott took things to a new level of weird, trying to lick Montreal Canadiens forward Jeff Halpern’s half-shield.  What possessed Ott to do this, I have no idea, but apparently Ott doesn’t want to talk about it.

Whatever he was trying to do didn’t work though, as the Canadiens destroyed the Sabres 5-1.
