Red Wings Goal Waived Off Because Of Worst Goalie Interference Call Of All Time

This is not an exaggeration. The Detroit Red Wings had a goal waived off because of the worst goalie interference call in the history of the NHL. Luke Glendening skated by Braden Holtby when Holtby went to play the puck, as Holtby skated back to the net, he fell and the Red Wings put the puck in the net. Glendening was called for interference on the play, despite never having actually touched Holtby.

The referees need to be disciplined for this horrific of a call. What in the hell were they watching? There should be a coach’s challenge to challenge something like this.
